Retirement age of practicing doctors raised to 65

CHANDIGARH, OCT 19
In a significant move to check the shortage of doctors in the State, the Haryana Government today decided to raise the retirement age of practicing doctors from 58 to 65 years. 
        This was stated by Haryana Health Minister Mr Anil Vij while talking to mediapersons after the Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal presided over a meeting here today in which this decision was taken. Mr Vij said that in doing so, the State Government has followed the vision of our Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.
        Mr Vij said that it has also been decided that those doctors who were working on administrative posts, would retire at the age of 58 years, but would be able to continue to serve upto 65 years only if they opt to practice in any health institution of their choice. He said that it has also been decided to invite applications from those retired doctors who would like to re-join the service as a medical practitioner. They would be re-employed. He said that this measure would help in checking the shortage of doctors in the State.
DISTRIBUTION OF MOONG DAL: The Haryana Government has decided to distribute Moong Dal Chilka in two lots for the period of July-August and September-October 2016. 
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that the allocation for these months has been prepared on the basis of verified figures of ration card as per the latest report prepared by e-PDS Application, designed and developed by National Informatics Centre.
          He said that a total of 11,060 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Moong Dal Chilka has been allocated for a total of 11,06,088   ration cards of Central Below Poverty Line (CBPL), State Below Poverty Line (SBPL) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families in all districts of the State. The total allocation of Moong Dal Chilka included 716 MT for district Ambala, 810 MT for district Bhiwani, 619 MT for district Fatehabad, 494 MT for district Fatehabad, 351 MT for district Gurugram, 786 MT for district Hisar, 296 MT for district Jhajjar, 663 MT for district Jind, 582 MT for district Kaithal, 669 MT for district Karnal and 504 MT for district Kurukshetra. Similarly, 490 MT of Moong Dal Chilka has been allocated for district Mahendragarh, 390 MT for district Mewat, 359 MT for district Palwal, 109 MT for district Panchkula, 479 MT each for district Panipat and district Rewari, 429 MT for district Rohtak, 652 MT for district Sirsa, 547 MT for district Sonepat and 636 MT for district Yamunanagar.
          He said that all the District Food and Supplies Controllers have been directed to take care that the suppliers would have to supply the Moong Dal Chilka under Dal Roti Scheme for the month of July-August, 2016 and September-October, 2016 in two lots with a 15 days gap on completion of first lot.
