6,31,817 MT of wheat arrives in Haryana mandis

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 10
In Haryana, 6,31,817 metric tonnes (MT) of wheat have so far arrived in the mandis of the State. Out of the total arrival, 6,31,626 MT have been purchased by the government procurement agencies at Minimum Support Price.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that the procurement process was running smoothly in the mandis of the State.
Giving details of the wheat procured by government agencies, he said that more than 2.01 lakh MT of wheat has been procured by Food and Supplies Department, whereas HAFED has purchased more than 1.69 lakh MT of wheat. He said that Food Corporation of India has purchased 72,844 MT of wheat, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation has purchased 28,238 MT and 1.60 lakh MT of wheat have been procured by Haryana Warehousing Corporation. He said that apart from this, 191 MT of wheat have been procured by traders.
He said that district Palwal was leading in wheat arrival where 1,05,376 MT of wheat have so far arrived in the mandis. District Faridabad has recorded arrival of 64,910 MT, district Jind 48,587 MT, district Panipat 45,170 MT, district Mewat 44,177 MT, district Kurukshetra 42,740 MT, district Karnal 41,126 MT, district Gurgaon 33,898 MT, district Hisar 33,625 MT, district Ambala 23,754 MT, district Kaithal 29,860 MT district, Jhajjar 29,158 MT, district Rohtak 20,797 MT and district Sonepat has recorded arrival of 14,169 MT of wheat. Similarly, district Rewari has recorded arrival of 19,199 MT of wheat, district Yamunanagar 11,795 MT, district Mahendragarh (Narnaul) 11,196 MT, district Bhiwani 8,746 MT. district Panchkula 2,732 MT, and district Fatehabad 802 MT.
