Haryana Govt purchases 1,16,256 MT of wheat

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 7
 In Haryana, 1,16,447 metric tonnes (MT) of wheat have so far arrived in the mandis of the State. Out of the total arrival, 1,16,256 MT have been purchased by the government procurement agencies at Minimum Support Price.
          While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that the procurement process was running smoothly in the mandis of the State.
          Giving details of the wheat procured by government agencies, he said that 38,090 MT of wheat has been procured by Food and Supplies Department, whereas HAFED has purchased 10,945 MT of wheat. He said that Food Corporation of India has purchased 25,271 MT of wheat, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation has purchased 1,162 MT and 40,779 MT of wheat have been procured by Haryana Warehousing Corporation. He said that apart from this, 191 MT of wheat have been procured by traders.
          He said that district Palwal was leading in wheat arrival where 31,209 MT of wheat have so far arrived in the mandis. District Faridabad has recorded arrival of 25,755 MT, district Mewat 24,172 MT, district Jhajjar 6,372 MT, district Mahendragarh (Narnaul) 5,338 MT, district Panipat 3,807 MT, district Rewari 3,625 MT, district Kurukshetra 3,556 MT, district Yamunanagar 3,082 MT, district Ambala 3,063 MT and district Bhiwani has recorded arrival of 3,057 MT of wheat. Similarly, district Sonepat has recorded arrival of 1,475 MT of wheat, district Rohtak 906 MT, district Panchkula 588 MT, district Hisar 60 MT, district Kaithal 54 MT and district Fatehabad 50 MT.
PANEL TO PREPARE SENIORITY LIST: Haryana Directorate of Secondary Education has constituted an 8-member committee under the chairmanship of Additional Director, Admn-I, Mr. A.S. Mann, for preparation of the seniority list of lecturers and disposal of pending claims or objections.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of Education Department said that the committee has been constituted to check the documents of representations received in the Directorate for rectification of the seniority list of school lecturers as per orders issued on November 7, 2014.
        The committee would include ADO, Utkarsh Society, Panchkula, Mr. R.K. Garg, Law Officer, Mr. Avinash Sharma and Mr. Anil Kumar Dalal from Government Senior Secondary School, Tikkar Hills, district Panchkula, as Members. Deputy Director, PGT Branch, Mrs. Sunita Devi, Superintendent, PGT-II Branch, Mr. Sidharth Gill, and Assistant, PGT-II Branch, Mr. Gautam Kumar, would assist the committee.
