ADR centres being set up in district courts

 With a view to provide quick and free justice to the people, Alternative Dispute Redressal (ADR) Centres are being set up at every district courts headquarters by Haryana State Legal Services Authority.
          Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih said this while inspecting site of ADR centre at Sirsa today. He said that an ADR costing over Rs 1.04 crore would be set up in court complex, Sirsa. Its foundation stone    would be laid by Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mr Justice  A.K. Sikri on March 30.
          He said that this centre being set up over about one acre of land  would have a permanent lok adalat, lok adalat hall, multipurpose conference hall, attribution hall, a library and a chamber. This building would be completed within one year by Public Works (Building and Roads) Department. He also gave suggestions regarding facilities to be provided in the building.
          Speaking on the occasion, District and Sessions Judge, Sirsa, Mr. Subhash Goyal said that in the district court ADR centre is already operational in an  informal manner. He said that Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mr. R.P. Goyal would be the Nodal Officer of this centre. He said that the decisions of the cases taken in this centre are final and could not be appealed in any other court.
