Jhajjar school offering four-year Integrated Bachelor of Education Program

 An autonomous institution, namely Prarambh School for Teacher Education, Jhajjar, established by Haryana Government, is offering Four-Year Integrated Bachelor of Education Program leading to Degree Course in Bachelor of Art  plus Bachelor of Education (B.A.-B.Ed.), Bachelor of Science plus Bachelor of Education (B.Sc.-B.Ed.), Bachelor of Commerce plus  Bachelor of Education (B.Com.-B.Ed.).
          While stating this today, a spokesman of Haryana Board of School Education said that this innovative and challenging program is designed with multiple-level engagement of students on factual courses and teaching experience in real life contexts, so that they have a sound theoretical foundation coupled with a robust practical curriculum.
He said that Subject Courses of Humanities, Science and Commerce stream, Professional Education courses and Self-Study Courses and activities as additional quality input are the study areas as approved by the Central University, Mahendergarh and National Council for Teacher Education.
          He said that it is a residential course with an intake capacity of 35 seats in each stream that is Humanities, Science and Commerce. Reservation policy as applicable would be followed.
          Admission to this Program would be based on merit, determined as per the performance in the entrance test having four components, namely English, Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. Test would consist 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each with four alternatives out of which one will be correct. There would be no negative marking. Time allowed for the test is 90 minutes.  Entrance test would be held on April 21, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m., he added.
          He said that the minimum eligibility condition for appearing in the Entrance Test is 60 per cent marks in 10 plus two of Board of School Education Haryana or its equivalent from a recognized Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, and ICSE. Those appearing in 10 plus two examination in March and April 2013 are also provisionally eligible to appear in the entrance test. However, their final eligibility would be subject to their minimum qualifying marks in 10 plus two, he added.
          He said that non-refundable fee of entrance testis is Rs. 200 for candidates belonging to general category and Rs. 100 for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and differently abled candidates. Examination centre would be within the State preferably at the district headquarters.
          He said that eligible candidates, desirous of seeking admission in this program, are required to apply online through the link available on the Board’s website www.hbse.ac.in from March 23 to April 5 as per the instructions given thereon. Admit cards would not be sent by post. Eligible candidates would be able to download their admit card with effect from April 9 from the website and appear in the entrance test.
