Haryana PWD wins 13 awards in Spring Flower Festival

Haryana Public Works (Buildings & Roads) Department won 13 awards in different categories in Springfest 2012 organized by HUDA  at Leisure Valley, Sector 29 in Panchkula.

Out of eleven awards, Department won first prize in two categories,  second prizes in four categories and third prize was awarded in seven categories. The department won these prizes in tough competition from corporate giants such as Maruti, Hero Honda etc.

The department won 1st prize in two categories i.e. Rose (different Categories) and Govt. institutions/Educational institutions. Govt. Polytechnic, Manesar which is being maintained by Haryana Public Works (Buildings & Roads) Department won 1st Prize in category Govt. institutions/Educational institutions whereas PWD Rest House, Gurgaon won 2nd prize this category.

The department won 2nd prize in Cut Flower-Orchid category. PWD Rest House, Gurgaon won 2nd prize in  category of Govt. institutions/Educational institutions. The department also won 2nd prize in two categories of Potted Plants i.e. Cineraria, Marigold French.

The department also won 3rd prize in seven categories of Potted Plants i.e. Aster, Pentunia Single, Phlox,  Branchycoma, Marigold African, Foliage and Other Foliage & Flowers etc.

Haryana Public Works (Buildings & Roads) Department is maintaining its gardens and pots very well. The department is participating in Rose Festival organized by Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh and Spring Festivals organized by HUDA for the last 3-4 years and winning awards in various categories in every festival. In Springfest-2012 held at Panchkula in 2012, the department had won six awards.
