CHANDIGARH, MARCH 26
The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda inaugurated  an  exhibition of photographs by Mr Gaurav Singh   at Lalit Kala Akademi,New Delhi today. The exhibition is  entitled as “Arrested Moments”.   Rohtak MP, Mr Deepender Singh Hooda was also present on this occasion.
Mr Hooda, accompanied by the artist Mr Gaurav Singh  went  around the exhibition and  evinced interest in each photograph. Gaurav Singh explained the depth and intensity in each photograph. Mr Hooda appreciated the hard work put in by the artist to bring out the inherent artistry of nature and exquisiteness of different situations in an artistic manner. Mr Hooda wrote in the Visitor’s Book, “I have never seen this type of photo exhibition before. I must compliment Gaurav for the hard work put in by him. I wish him all success”.
Gaurav Singh believes that touching simplicity and expressing it through a photo is a difficult decision for him. Photo is an expression of his thoughts, perceptions and subjective  emotions that entice him. The work at display is an amalgam of some of the most artistic moments of his pragmatic spectrum, which is a reflection of his individual psyche. His photographs of a female body in different moods and the photographs of smoke and water bubbles in different art forms present an artistic perception, which the viewer is thrilled to capture.
For Gaurav Singh, photography is beyond passion. He has featured in Fotoblur Magazine and on the art pages of The Asian Age, The Hindu, Hindustan Times and the Pioneer. He has also participated in exhibitions like “@rt Virtually Real” and “Simplicity”. Last year, he put up his solo exhibition “Emotions Obscured” at Lalit Kala Akademi. His present exhibition “Arrested Moments” will continue up to April 2, 2013.
