Online applications for Post-Matric scholarship

The Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Department has invited online applications for Post-Matric scholarship for students belonging to the minority communities for the year 2013-14.
          While stating this today, a spokesman of the Department said that the applicants could send their fresh applications   by September 30 and applications for renewal  by December 10, 2013. He said that students belonging to the minority communities namely Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian and Zoroastrian notified by the Central Government pursuing higher education, from class XI to Ph.D, including technical and vocational courses of industrial centres affiliated with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) in government, recognized school and Institute could apply for the scholarship to be awarded by the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs.
          He said that courses other than those listed under Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme would be covered under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme.
          He said that only   Indian citizens permanently residing in Haryana State are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income from all sources of the student’s parents or guardian should not exceed Rs two lakh. The continuance of award would be subject to securing 50 per cent marks in the previous examination. The income certificate should be issued by first Class Magistrate (Sub Divisional Magistrate or Tehsildar) and Minority Community Certificate should be issued by Sub Divisional Magistrate otherwise application would be rejected.
Aadhar Card Number being must to apply online, the students are advised to make their Aadhar Card. The students should fill his or her account number to apply online application and their account number should be Aadhar enabled. Scholarship would not be given to more than two students in a family. A scholarship holder under this scheme would not avail of any other scholarship or stipend for pursuing the same course. Thirty  per cent of scholarships are reserved for girl students, he added.
         The students who are studying in other state but are domicile of Haryana would also apply online. The students are advised to read the terms and conditions and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) available on the homepage of the website www.momascholarship.gov.inbefore filling the online application.  
Eligible candidates under this scheme would send their applications alongwith the attested copies of previous final examination certificate, income certificate and Minority Community Certificate, otherwise application would be rejected. The candidates would send hard copy of their online application to Director General, Social Justice and Empowerment Department Haryana, Chandigarh.
