HUDA to allot freehold sites to recognized political parties

 Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to allot sites to recognized political parties on freehold basis to construct party headquarters at Panchkula.
          While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the HUDA said that, therefore, applications have been invited from recognized political parties for the allotment of   sites in sector-32 of Panchkula. The   area of each site will be 4087 sq. mtr and it would have tentative cost of over Rs. 8.29 crore.The last date for receipt of applications is April 29, 2013.
          He said that only National recognized political parties and Haryana State recognized political parties would be eligible to apply. However, such political parties having no member in the Legislative Assembly of Haryana as on the last date of receipt of applications would not be eligible to apply. Apart from this, the political party would not be eligible to apply if a site has already been allotted to it in Panchkula Urban Estate, he added.
          He said that application complete in all respects, in the prescribed format would have to be submitted on A4 size paper in the office of Estate Officer, HUDA, Panchkula. The application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 82, 96,610, equivalent to 10 per cent of the total tentative cost of the plot at the rate of Rs. 20,300 per sq. mtr. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Estate Officer, HUDA, Panchkula payable at Panchkula.
          He said that the application should be signed by the President of the State Unit of the Political Party. All other terms and conditions as were applicable to the institutional sites would also be applicable to the site to be allotted to political parties.
He said that incomplete or unsigned applications, applications received without earnest money or after closing date would not be entertained. The format of application and important terms and condition can be downloaded from HUDA’s website www.huda.gov.in.
