Five HAU teachers get Best Teacher Award

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 28
 Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar today awarded five of its teachers with Best Teacher Award for the year 2009-10.
          While stating this today, a spokesman of the university said that Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr. K.S. Khokhar gave away these awards. Those who have been awarded include Dean, Agriculture College, Dr. R.K. Panu,  Dr. Savita Singal of Home Science College, Dr. S.C. Goyal of Basic Science College, Dr. R.P. Gupta of Veterinary College, and Dr. Labh Singh of College of Agriculture, Kaul. He said that Dr. Khokkar presented trophies, letters of appreciation and cheques of Rs 10,000 each to the award winners.
          Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khokhar emphasized the need of giving awards to best professors in educational institutions to set up high standards of education. This would motivate them and inspire others to work hard. He appreciated this initiative of Indian Council of Agricultural Research of awarding the best professors of universities.  
PRESIDENT TO VISIT KURUKSHETRA: The  President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee would visit Kurukshetra on April 9  to attend the convocation of National Institute of Technology. He will also attend a seminar in Kurukshetra University, the same day.
HOODA TO VISIT KURUKSHETRA: The Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would visit Kurukshetra on April 2 to attend a national level seminar on Baba Banda Singh Bahadur being organized by the Kurukshetra University.
